There's a reason we "wax poetic" when we talk about the people and things and ideas we love the most: poetry is our way of transforming everyday language into something that lives in the deeper end of realty – the end that shares a border with the sacred.

And when it comes to diving headfirst into the sacred, Persian poet and mystic Rumi leads the way. His poetry is a journey into the heart of the Divine, where ecstasy and silence meet.

This experience includes:

• An exploration of the poetry of Rumi as a way of connecting to the Divine – in whatever form the Friend manifests to us

• A customized Rumi-themed henna design for each participant
